Nutrition deficiencies compound over time, and remain unresolved until addressed. Nutritional repletion starts with “food-first” and behavior modification to support nutrient utilization.  The digestive system is where the majority of the immune system lives and must be assessed for nutrient metabolism and absorption.  I consider priorities, minimization, and short-term usage for restoration. 

Additional nutrition support is an out of pocket cost, unless covered with specific plans. Low nutrient levels can result in costing more time and energy. The “Recommended Daily Allowance” (RDA) for nutritional needs were designed to prevent nutritional deficiencies such as scurvy, pellagra and rickets. The RDAs are the bare minimum requirements and not based on healing and vitality. 

Many lack in meeting their “minimal nutrition requirements”. Conventional lab norms are based on the average blood levels of 95% of the US population many of who are not well, on meds, stressed and/or struggling with conditions. When I analyze tests results, I use functional medicine healthy science-based norms, not “unwell norms”. 

Pharmaceutical grade products used in clinical settings exceed industry standards. They are the most regulated and studied in the supplement industry. This is evidenced in third party testing for quality, potency and safety. This eliminates risks associated with unsafe handling, distribution, contamination and deceptive labels seen with online, retail and over-the-counter products.
